FIFA Announces Referee Crew for Egypt vs. Belgium Match in 2026 World Cup
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced on Friday the officiating crew for the upcoming match between Egypt and Belgium, scheduled for Monday as part of the opening round of the group stage in the 2026 World Cup.
Egypt will kick off its campaign with a challenging match against Belgium, which is part of Group G that also includes New Zealand and Iran. The Egyptian team aims for a strong start to enhance its chances of advancing to the next round.
The match is set to begin at 10 PM Cairo and Mecca time, marking Egypt’s first official test in the tournament against one of the leading European teams favored to compete for the title.
FIFA has appointed Brazilian referee Ramon Abati as the main official for this encounter, with compatriots Danilo Manis and Rafael Alves serving as assistant referees. Peruvian Kevin Ortega will take on the role of fourth official, while Michael Orui will act as the reserve assistant referee.
