Hani Abou Rida Arrives in the U.S. to Support Egypt’s National Team Ahead of 2026 World Cup
This morning, Hani Abou Rida, the President of the Egyptian Football Association and supervisor of the national team, arrived in Spokane, Washington, along with Mostafa Abou Zahra, a board member and deputy head of the team’s delegation. Their visit is part of preparations for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
They were welcomed by Khaled El Darandly, Vice President of the Football Association and head of the delegation in the U.S.
The Egyptian team has been drawn into Group G alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand. The Pharaohs aim for a historic start as they seek their first victory in World Cup history.
Egypt is set to face Belgium in their opening match on Monday, June 15, at Seattle’s stadium. The game will kick off at 3 PM local time, which is 10 PM Cairo time.
