Cairo International Airport Completes Upgrade of Shuttle Bus Stations
Egypt’s Cairo Airport Authority has announced the completion of enhancements to the shuttle bus stations at Cairo International Airport, aimed at providing a smoother and more efficient transportation experience for passengers.
This initiative is part of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation’s strategy to elevate the service quality offered to travelers and visitors at Cairo International Airport.
The shuttle bus system consists of nine main stations strategically located throughout the airport’s internal roadways. This service facilitates free transport for passengers, greeters, and airport staff, ensuring quick connections between various passenger terminals, parking areas, and service zones. The upgrade aims to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion within the airport.
The development work included the installation of modern and comfortable seating at all stations, as well as new signage and maps detailing the shuttle bus routes and stops between departure and arrival halls.
Additionally, each station now features informational displays indicating the locations of airline offices within the different passenger terminals, aiding travelers in reaching their destinations with ease.
The new design also prioritizes accessibility, with designated waiting areas for individuals with disabilities. Ramps have been installed to facilitate movement for wheelchair users and senior citizens, along with provisions for easy handling of luggage and personal belongings. Clear signage has been implemented at each station to assist passengers in locating them effortlessly.

Magdy Ishaq Aser, Chairman of Cairo Airport Authority, stated that the upgrades to the shuttle bus stations are part of a comprehensive plan aimed at improving infrastructure and operational efficiency at Cairo International Airport in line with global standards.
Aser added that this modernization initiative encompasses various facilities and services within Cairo International Airport as part of a broader strategy to reinforce its position as one of the key airports in the region.
