Al Ahly in Talks with Sayed Moawad for Assistant Coach Role

Media personality Khaled Al Ghandour has revealed that Al Ahly is making efforts to strengthen its upcoming coaching staff by considering one of its former stars for the position of assistant coach.

Al Ghandour stated that the club’s management has initiated discussions with Sayed Moawad, a former star player, to explore the possibility of him joining the coaching team expected to be led by Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta.

He noted that Moawad has expressed preliminary interest in returning to work within the club, affirming that he has no reservations about the proposed role.

The negotiations between both parties are ongoing and have not yet reached a final agreement, as there are still some details that need to be resolved before formalizing the contract.

Al Ghandour emphasized that Al Ahly’s management aims to finalize the entire coaching staff soon, paving the way for an official announcement regarding Amouta’s appointment and the commencement of preparations for the new season.

The coming hours will be crucial in determining Sayed Moawad’s position on joining the coaching staff, amid Al Ahly officials’ desire to leverage his extensive experience and familiarity with the club’s environment.
