The purchase clause has been activated for €1.5 million, payable in two installments. Al Ahly will receive an additional amount ranging between €3-5 million based on Hamza’s appearances and goals for both the first team and reserves.

Moreover, Al Ahly retains a 15% share of any future resale of the player.

Hamza continues to attract attention as he is part of Egypt’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, making him the fifth youngest player to participate in this edition of the tournament.

The player made his debut with the national team during the recent camp, coming on as a substitute in a friendly match against Russia, which Egypt won 1-0. He also played in a friendly against Brazil, which ended in a 2-1 defeat for Egypt as part of their World Cup preparations.

According to a previous report by Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo,” including Hamza in Egypt’s preliminary World Cup roster provided Barcelona with added motivation to activate his purchase clause and closely monitor his development.

Additionally, Spanish outlet “Sport” noted that Barcelona will commence their preparation period for the new season on July 13, with Hamza set to join first-team training under German coach Hans Flick.
