Wael Gomaa Officially Begins Role as Al Ahly’s Football Director

The official account of Al Ahly Club welcomed Wael Gomaa back to the Red Castle on Wednesday evening, following his appointment as the football director for the first team.

Al Ahly announced in recent days that Gomaa would replace Walid Salah El Din, who was thanked by the club’s management for his service in the position.

Gomaa arrived at Al Ahly’s headquarters on Wednesday to officially commence his duties, holding several coordination meetings with Sayed Abdel Hafiz, a board member and supervisor of football operations, in collaboration with club president Mahmoud El Khatib and vice president Yassin Mansour.

The new football director is expected to address several important issues in the coming period, including finalizing contract renewal negotiations for certain players, reviewing internal regulations related to the team, and establishing a new system for rewards and penalties that aligns with the objectives of the coaching staff and management moving forward.
