Al Ahly Sets Preparations for New Season with Key Meeting

The management of Al Ahly Club is set to hold an important meeting with Wael Gomaa, the newly appointed director of football, in the coming hours. The agenda will focus on the first team’s work plan and arrangements for the upcoming season.

The session aims to outline the operational framework within the team and discuss the details of the strategy that management intends to implement, ensuring both technical and administrative stability ahead of the new season.

Final Touches on Preparation Program for New Season

In this context, club officials have scheduled the last week of June as the start date for the preparation period for the new season. Currently, coordination is underway between Wael Gomaa and Sayed Abdel Hafiz to arrange all details of the training camp and develop a suitable training program.

The preparation program is expected to be handed over to the new foreign head coach, with whom management is close to finalizing an official contract announcement in the coming days.

Previously, Al Ahly officially closed the chapter on former head coach, Danish manager Jes Torup, after reaching an amicable agreement to terminate their contract. This included a financial settlement that ensured the coach received his dues and a mutual termination clause, effectively resolving the issue without escalation or recourse to FIFA.
