Hussein Ammouta Emerges as Top Candidate to Lead Al Ahly
The name of Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta is increasingly linked with the managerial position at Al Ahly, succeeding Danish coach Jes Torup. This comes as the club’s management aims to steer the team back to success following a disappointing season.
Currently, Al Ahly’s administration is intensifying its search for a new head coach who possesses the experience and capability to restore balance to the team. Ammouta stands out as a leading candidate, particularly with Al Ahly not participating in next season’s CAF Champions League.

Ammouta successfully guided Al Jazira to clinch the UAE Pro League title that same season, highlighting his coaching abilities.
