Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

On Tuesday, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Badr Abdel Atti, held a phone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. This discussion was part of ongoing consultations between the two nations regarding regional issues of mutual interest.

The ministers focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, building on the positive developments and close coordination across various fields that serve the shared interests of both countries and their peoples.

They exchanged views on current regional developments, particularly the Iranian crisis and its implications for regional security and stability. Both emphasized the importance of supporting diplomatic efforts to contain tensions, reduce escalation, and maintain security in the region.

The conversation also addressed the situation in Gaza, specifically ongoing efforts to implement the first phase of President Trump’s reconstruction plan. This initiative aims to pave the way for early recovery projects and reconstruction while facilitating the work of the National Committee for Gaza management from within the territory, ultimately creating conditions for a fair and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue based on a two-state solution.

Additionally, they discussed developments in Lebanon, reiterating the importance of supporting Lebanese state institutions and ensuring Lebanon’s security, stability, and sovereignty, alongside full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Regarding Sudan, both ministers underscored the necessity of maintaining Sudan’s security and stability as well as its territorial integrity. They rejected any attempts to establish parallel entities or undermine Sudanese state institutions while emphasizing the need for a sustainable ceasefire and support for an intra-Sudanese political process.

In conclusion, they reaffirmed the significance of continued close coordination and consultation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia on various regional issues to bolster security and stability in the area.
