Adrien Rabiot, player for AC Milan and the French national team, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming friendly match against Northern Ireland, emphasizing the players’ desire to secure a victory in honor of their coach, Didier Deschamps.

The match will take place at the Pierre-Mauroy Stadium in Lille as part of France’s preparations for the upcoming World Cup, which will be hosted in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

This game holds special significance as it marks Deschamps’ final appearance on French soil before he steps down from his position after the World Cup, concluding a remarkable 14-year tenure with “Les Bleus.”.

In comments reported by Sports Yahoo, Rabiot stated, “I can’t imagine Didier’s emotional state after all these years with the team. We are human and have feelings.”.

He added, “The coach has done an incredible job with France and deserves a celebration befitting him. I hope we can win the title for him; that would be the best tribute.”.

Deschamps also shared his feelings ahead of the match, saying, “There are many things I am doing for the last time, but I try not to think about it too much.”.

He continued, “I don’t feel a great sadness about it, nor am I particularly happy. The tribute I received in Nantes was a wonderful gesture, even though it came during a busy time for the players.”.

Deschamps concluded: “These two matches before heading to the United States represent an opportunity to be close to fans who won’t be able to travel. We aim to benefit from their support and gain positive energy ahead of the World Cup.”.
