Hossam Hassan Aims to Delight Fans at 2026 World Cup

Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, emphasized that participating in the 2026 World Cup is a significant milestone in the history of Egyptian football. He asserted that the team possesses the capabilities to consistently compete among the world’s elite.

In an interview with Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, Hassan expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thank God for our presence in the World Cup; Egypt deserves to be a regular participant in this tournament.”.

Reflecting on his past experiences, he shared, “I am very happy to have been part of the team during the 1990 World Cup in Italy. Being here now as a head coach is a great honor, and I hope our players can bring joy to Egyptian and Arab fans.”.

Hassan noted that mere ambition is not enough: “It is easy to talk about goals, but what matters is hard work and taking all necessary steps to achieve them. We are focused on preparing the team strongly and continuously developing our players.”.

The squad features a blend of experienced players and young talent, with everyone eager to deliver an outstanding performance. He stated, “We are carefully studying our opponents and are aware of our abilities. Our primary goal is to make the Egyptian people happy, which we strive for every day.”.

He added that they have focused on achieving cohesion during recent tournaments and friendly matches against teams like Brazil, Spain, and Russia to enhance player concentration.

Concluding his remarks, Hassan said, “We are concentrating on technical analysis and studying our rivals while implementing tactical aspects on the field. There is a sense of calm and harmony within the team as everyone aims for one goal: bringing joy to our fans.”.
