Sayed Abdel Hafiz Leads Negotiations for New Al Ahly Coach, Reveals Shobair

Sports broadcaster Ahmed Shobair shared critical insights regarding Al Ahly’s search for a new foreign head coach during his recent segment on ON Sport FM.

Shobair confirmed that Sayed Abdel Hafiz is primarily responsible for overseeing negotiations with potential foreign coaches, emphasizing that all discussions are being conducted under his direct supervision.

He stated, “The person leading the negotiations for the foreign coach at Al Ahly is Sayed Abdel Hafiz; he has all the details regarding the matter.”.

Shobair noted that only a select group of individuals are involved in this process, with certain close officials not participating in the negotiations. He highlighted that this limited circle will also handle the signing of contracts.

Additionally, he mentioned that Dr. Essam Sarag has recently become more involved in these discussions alongside Abdel Hafiz and Jamal Gabr, the club’s media director.

Concluding his remarks, Shobair pointed out that Al Ahly’s efforts to expedite the departure of coach Yassir Torab reflect the club’s proximity to finalizing a deal with a new head coach, as negotiations progress with one of the leading candidates for the position.
