Ahmad Shobair: Pitso Mosimane Unlikely to Coach Pyramids FC

Written byFerdous Saeed

Sports broadcaster Ahmad Shobair discussed the rumors surrounding the potential appointment of South African coach Pitso Mosimane as the head coach of Pyramids FC during a segment on On Sport FM.

Shobair clarified that his comments are personal opinions rather than confirmed information, stating that Mosimane is not among the top candidates for the role.

He said, “Let me clarify about the Mosimane situation; what I’m sharing is merely speculation and not factual. From my perspective, he is unlikely to join Pyramids.”.

Shobair further explained that Pyramids FC has a clear policy when it comes to selecting coaches, which involves creating a shortlist of three or four candidates before negotiating with one of them. He emphasized that the club always considers hiring an Egyptian coach as part of its strategy.

He mentioned, “There was a consideration for Captain Hossam El Badry’s name, but that option has been closed. Therefore, I believe Mosimane is currently out of the club’s plans.”.

In conclusion, Shobair reiterated that Pyramids FC’s management operates based on a specific vision regarding their coaching appointments, making it unlikely for them to sign Mosimane at this time.
