The 209th convoy of aid trucks has departed from the Rafah border crossing towards the Kerem Shalom crossing, utilizing the side gate of Rafah, in preparation for entering the Gaza Strip. This effort is part of ongoing Egyptian initiatives to alleviate the humanitarian crisis affecting over two million Palestinians in the region.

Earlier today, Sunday, the external area of the Rafah crossing witnessed the assembly of this convoy, which carries essential food and humanitarian supplies for those affected by the Israeli conflict in Gaza. The trucks were lined up before their movement to Kerem Shalom via the side gate of Rafah.

A source from the Egyptian Red Crescent stated that these trucks are part of the “Zad Al-Izza from Egypt to Gaza” campaign, loaded with significant quantities of food and relief supplies. The cargo includes food baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, preserved foods, medications, personal care items, tents, clothing, and fuel.

Since the onset of hostilities in Gaza, approximately 46,000 trucks have delivered more than 995,000 tons of various humanitarian and relief aid into the region. This assistance also includes ambulances and fuel trucks.
