Hossam Hassan Highlights Egypt’s Gains After Friendly Against Brazil Ahead of World Cup
Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national football team, emphasized that facing Brazil was a crucial part of the team’s preparation for the 2026 World Cup. He noted that the coaching staff aimed for a positive result against one of the world’s strongest teams.
During the press conference following the friendly match against Brazil, Hassan stated that playing against teams of Brazil’s caliber serves as a true test for the players and helps enhance their technical and physical readiness ahead of the World Cup.
The coach highlighted Mustafa Ziko as one of the significant gains for the national team in recent times, asserting that he possesses great potential and has a promising future with the Pharaohs. He added that the team has previously benefited from new talents such as Islam Issa and Mohamed Hamdi, as part of an ongoing strategy to seek out the best players capable of representing Egypt.

Regarding Mohamed Salah, Hassan explained that the captain underwent a rehabilitation program coordinated with his club before rejoining the national team. He indicated that Salah is now ready to participate and play matches normally.
