Mohamed Abdel Jalil Confident in Egypt’s Victory Over Brazil Ahead of World Cup 2026

Mohamed Abdel Jalil, a former star of Egyptian football, expressed his confidence in the national team’s ability to secure a victory against Brazil in their friendly match today. He emphasized that the Pharaohs can prevail despite the strength of their opponent.

In remarks made during the “Classico” program with host Sihem Saleh, Abdel Jalil predicted that Egypt would win the match with a score of 1-0, asserting that the team possesses the qualities needed to perform strongly against one of the world’s top teams.

He also shared his optimism regarding Egypt’s journey in the 2026 World Cup, stating that he believes they can advance beyond the group stage and reach the Round of 16. This optimism is bolstered by the relative balance of their group, which includes opponents that are manageable.

Abdel Jalil praised the contributions of the coaching staff led by Hossam Hassan, noting that they provide a significant strength to the team due to Hassan’s strict personality and his complete focus on technical details while instilling a sense of discipline within the squad.
