Ahead of the upcoming season, Ahmed Diab, President of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, announced a series of financial incentives aimed at enhancing the Egyptian Premier League and increasing revenues for clubs.

During the announcement of the league’s new sponsor in collaboration with Ora, Diab revealed that popular clubs would receive financial support totaling 40 million EGP upon their participation in the competition. This agreement follows discussions between the association and the sponsoring company.

Diab confirmed that the prize money for the league champion will see a historic increase to 50 million EGP next season, a significant rise compared to last year’s figures. This initiative aims to foster greater competition among clubs.

He emphasized that this increase represents a substantial shift in prize money, exceeding previous amounts by tenfold, illustrating the association’s commitment to elevating the league’s market value.

Last season, Zamalek secured the Egyptian Premier League title after leading the standings, with Pyramids finishing second and Al Ahly coming in third. Zamalek concluded the season with 56 points, outperforming Pyramids who amassed 54 points, while Al Ahly collected 53 points to place third in the final standings.
