Al Ahly has officially announced the termination of its contract with Danish head coach Jess Torup and his coaching staff, by mutual agreement, following a season marked by disappointing results.

The last season for Al Ahly’s first football team was fraught with setbacks, as the team missed out on winning the Egyptian Premier League, the CAF Champions League, the Egypt Cup, and the EFA Cup, in addition to failing to secure a spot in next season’s CAF Champions League.

The club stated in an official announcement that the decision to end the contract was made during a meeting between management officials and the head coach and his agent, with the legal advisor for the football sector present. They agreed to conclude their contractual relationship definitively.

The statement confirmed that the head coach received all his financial entitlements according to the terms of his contract, which was set to run until June 30, 2026, before signing a financial settlement that ended his association with the club.

Al Ahly expressed gratitude to Coach Torup and his staff for their time spent at the club, commending their efforts during their tenure.

In turn, Jess Torup and his assistant staff expressed their appreciation for the club’s management, coaching staff, players, and fans, affirming their fondness for their time at Al Ahly and their desire to maintain good relations with the club’s organization.
