Second Semester Exams for Preparatory Certificate Begin Across Egypt

This Thursday morning, the second semester exams for the Preparatory Certificate commenced across Egyptian governorates for the academic year 2025/2026. Schools implemented extensive preparations and measures to ensure that the examination process proceeds in an organized and secure environment.
All education directorates nationwide have completed their preparations to welcome students and address any potential challenges that may arise during the examination process.
In Suez Governorate, 15,352 students are taking their first-day exams in educational administration centers (North Suez, South Suez, and Al-Janain), with heightened organizational and security measures in place to ensure a smooth examination process.
Thuraya Mansour, the Deputy Minister of Education in Suez, confirmed that the directorate had finalized all preparations well ahead of the exams, ensuring that all necessary resources were available for a smooth and safe examination environment.
She emphasized strict instructions to all educational administrations to fully comply with ministerial regulations governing examination procedures, ensuring a conducive atmosphere for students to take their tests calmly and orderly.
A central operations room has been established at the directorate’s headquarters that operates around the clock throughout the exam period to maintain continuous communication with sub-operational rooms in educational administrations, monitor exam progress, and address any issues promptly in coordination with relevant authorities.
In Gharbia Governorate, 94,696 students are sitting for their exams across 421 general preparatory committees, while 5,315 students are taking their exams in 38 technical preparatory committees throughout the governorate.
Nasser Hassan, Deputy Minister of Education in Gharbia, stressed the importance of adhering to ministry directives and regulations governing the examinations. He highlighted that committee heads bear full responsibility for managing proceedings from receiving examination papers until the end of each day.
The deputy minister also emphasized maintaining complete discipline within committees and creating a suitable environment for students while ensuring direct communication with educational administration directors and sub-operational rooms to swiftly address any issues that may arise during examinations.
In Dakahlia Governorate, students began their first exams in religious education, computer science, and art education. The exams will continue until June 11 according to the announced schedule.
Mohamed El-Rashidi, Deputy Minister of Education in Dakahlia, stated that an operations room has been established under his leadership at the directorate’s headquarters in Mansoura to monitor exam progress and resolve any issues affecting committee operations.
El-Rashidi emphasized adherence to regulations governing examination procedures and firmly addressing any instances of cheating or violations of exam rules while providing a safe educational environment for all students to ensure equality and fairness during examinations.
The total number of students taking exams is 130,442 across 599 committees. Additionally, 2,400 vocational students will take their exams across 16 committees.
