Reports have unveiled a strict list of prohibited items that will be enforced for fans attending the 2026 World Cup matches. These measures are part of the heightened organizational and security protocols implemented by the organizing committee to ensure the safety of spectators in the stadiums.
The tournament is set to take place from June 11 to July 10, 2026, featuring a record 48 teams for the first time in World Cup history. This edition will also be notable for being co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
According to a report by the British newspaper “The Sun,” organizing authorities will impose stringent measures, including immediate ejection, arrest, and potentially prosecution for any fan found in possession of prohibited items within the stadiums.

- Any objects that can be used as weapons, such as large umbrellas or motorcycle helmets
- Heavy personal protective gear like bulletproof vests
- Hard or closed objects that can be thrown, such as metal bottles or cans
Forbidden Items Inside the Stands
- Any work-related tools of any kind
- Sports equipment (excluding clothing), such as inflatable balls
- Strollers, bicycles, skateboards, and scooters
Items Related to Disruption or Concealment
- Helmets or any tools that could conceal a fan’s identity, except for hijabs or medical masks
- Any items that produce smoke or flame, such as fireworks, flares, and lighters
Prohibited Personal Belongings
- Large bags that are opaque or cannot fit under seats
- Boxes, folding chairs, and any oversized luggage
- Inflatable items like balloons or similar objects
