This morning, Ghana secured a dramatic late win against Panama, clinching the match with a goal in the dying moments, finishing 1-0 in their twelfth match of the tournament.

The decisive goal came in the sixth minute of stoppage time, scored by Caleb Yirenkyi following a pass from his teammate Brandon Thomas inside the penalty area.

In an interview with beIN Sports, Queiroz remarked, “We struggled in the first half against a very good team, but we managed to find our rhythm.”.

He further added, “We knew they would dominate possession, and that was part of our strategy. We regained control and ultimately scored the winning goal. I am very pleased with this victory.”.

The 2026 World Cup is being co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, featuring a record 48 teams for the first time in history. The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19.
