Health Minister Highlights New Medical City Project as a Model for Modern Healthcare
Meeting of Health Minister and Chairman of ‘Ancom’.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting on Monday evening with Engineer Sherif Shatta, Chairman of ‘Ancom’ Engineering Services Company, to discuss the progress of the “City of Hospitals and Educational Institutes for Research and Training” project in the New Capital.
This initiative comes in response to directives from political leadership to expedite the completion of this strategic project, which represents a significant advancement in the development of Egypt’s healthcare system.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, emphasized the project’s importance as it serves as a model for modern medical cities built using Egyptian expertise while incorporating best global practices in management and operation. This aims to provide treatment, research, and educational services that meet international standards.
During the meeting, a clear roadmap was discussed that includes execution steps, timelines, and necessary technical, financial, and legal procedures required to move forward with contracts and commence implementation.
Attendees included Major General Amr Aaid, Assistant Minister for Information Systems and Digital Transformation; Dr. Sherif Mustafa, Assistant Minister for National Projects; Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Abdel Ghaffar, Head of the Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes; along with representatives from ‘Ancom’.
