Ancelotti Reveals Brazil’s Lineup Against Egypt Featuring Vinicius and Raphinha

Carlo Ancelotti, the Italian coach of the Brazilian national team, has announced the starting lineup for the friendly match against Egypt as part of their preparations for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.

The match is scheduled to take place early Sunday at Huntington Stadium in Ohio, USA. This encounter aims to enhance Brazil’s technical and physical readiness ahead of the global tournament.

Ancelotti has opted for a formidable attacking lineup, featuring Vinicius Junior and Raphinha alongside Igor Thiago and Lucas Paquetá in the front line. Marquinhos will lead the defense after recently winning the UEFA Champions League title with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian squad sees several changes from their previous friendly against Panama, with five alterations made to provide opportunities for a broader range of players and to test different options before the World Cup.

Notable adjustments include Roger Ibanez replacing Leo Pereira, while Marquinhos steps in for Bremer. Douglas Santos takes over from Alex Sandro in defense. On offense, Ancelotti has chosen Lucas Paquetá and Igor Thiago instead of Luiz Henrique and Matheus Cunha.
