Sadat Academy Hosts 18th Scientific Conference on Smart Management

The Sadat Academy for Administrative Sciences is set to hold its 18th annual scientific conference on Sunday, titled “Smart Management in the Knowledge Era: Challenges and Opportunities for the Future,” at its headquarters in Maadi. The event will see participation from numerous government officials, academic leaders, parliamentarians, and experts in management, economics, and digital transformation.
This conference is part of the academy’s efforts, led by Dr. Mohamed Saleh Hashem, to enhance the role of scientific research in supporting institutional development plans and digital transformation while anticipating the future of management amid rapid global advancements in artificial intelligence and knowledge economy.
The event will commence with an opening session featuring a documentary film about the Sadat Academy for Administrative Sciences. This will be followed by speeches from Dr. Massad Radwan, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Secretary-General of the conference, and Dr. Yasser Abdelaziz Samra, Vice President of the Academy for Graduate Studies and Research. Additionally, Dr. Mohamed Saleh Hashem will deliver remarks as the President of the Academy and conference chair.
Also addressing attendees will be Dr. Abdelaziz Kansooh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, alongside Dr. Hussein Issa, Deputy Prime Minister. This session will conclude with a ceremony honoring participants and exchanging commemorative plaques.
Three Specialized Scientific Sessions
The first scientific session is titled “Smart Management in Egypt: Current Reality and Aspirations,” focusing on strategies for enhancing governmental management and digital transformation while emphasizing the role of smart management in boosting intellectual capital and economic competitiveness.
This session will be chaired by Dr. Safwat El-Nahas, former Secretary-General of the Cabinet and former head of the Central Organization for Administration and Management. Participants include former Ministers Dr. Hani Mahmoud (Communications and Administrative Development) and Dr. Mohamed Abdelkader Salem (Communications), as well as Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Giza Governor Dr. Ahmed El-Ansary, Egyptian Tax Authority Chairwoman Dr. Rasha Abdel Aal, along with MPs Mostafa Bakry and Mohamed Attia El-Fioumi.
The second session is themed “Smart Management, Knowledge Economy, and Human Capital Development in an Era of Competition,” chaired by Dr. Adel Zaid, former Vice President of Cairo University and former Governor of Qalyubia.
This session will discuss various issues related to smart management’s role in maximizing intellectual capital, transitioning to a knowledge economy, innovation-supportive economic policies, and management information systems’ influence on decision-making.
Experts participating in this discussion include Dr. Fakhry El-Feky, Professor of Economics and former Chair of the Planning and Budget Committee at Parliament; Dr. Saleh El-Sheikh, former head of the Central Organization for Administration; Dr. Khaled Qassem, Assistant Minister for Local Development; Dr. Tarek El-Hosary, Legal Research Consultant at the Cabinet; AI expert Dr. Ghada Amer from Decision Support Center; former Dean of Computer Science at Damanhour University Dr. Mohamed Wali; along with Professor Safaa Abdulrahim from British University.
The third session will focus on “Big Data for Decision Support and Smart Financial Analytics,” chaired by Dr. Islam Azam, Head of the Financial Supervisory Authority.
This session will explore applications of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology in accounting and finance while discussing how smart systems can enhance financial transparency and governance as well as risk management strategies amid global economic changes.
Participants include committee rapporteur for commercial sector at Supreme Council of Universities Dr. Magdy Abdelkader; Professor Samir Abu Al-Fotouh Saleh from Mansoura University; Professor Ahmed Abu Moussa from Tanta University; Professor Hassan Al-Sadi from Cairo University; Neven Makram from the academy’s Information Systems Department; MP Akmal Nagaty from Parliament’s Planning & Budget Committee; Finance Ministry official Ahmed Hreedy; international tax expert Dr. Nabil Abdul-Rouf; along with Mohamed Sobhi from Ernst & Young.
The conference will conclude with a final session where recommendations and scientific results prepared by a specialized committee—including doctors Noor Nada, Noha El-Khatib, Sherif Taher, Yasser Salah—will be announced alongside honoring participants with a group photo opportunity.
