Egyptian Ambassador Congratulates Philippine President on Independence Day

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. welcomed Nader Zaki, the Egyptian Ambassador to the Philippines, as part of the celebrations for the country’s 128th Independence Day held at the Malacañang Palace.
During the event, Ambassador Zaki conveyed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s congratulations to President Marcos on this significant occasion.
The ambassador also discussed the developments in bilateral relations as both countries mark 80 years of diplomatic ties. This includes efforts to enhance political and economic consultations, as well as signing agreements aimed at boosting cooperation across various sectors. Notably, there is a focus on opening markets for Egyptian agricultural products and fertilizers, alongside aspirations to strengthen trade exchanges and investments in pharmaceuticals, textile industries, and tourism.
